When my dad passed away while I was in college, that experience taught me three invaluable lessons: family is precious, I wanted Christ in my life, and owning real estate builds wealth. I was only 19 at the time, but by the time I turned 26, my husband and I became homeowners. A few years and a couple of kids later, we met an incredible real estate agent, Sharon, who helped us find a new home as we relocated and guided us through purchasing investment properties. Our relationship spanned over numerous properties, and eventually, she encouraged me to get my real estate license. Soon after, I became a REALTOR®.
From a young age, I was taught to serve my community. As I matured, I learned that serving is mutually beneficial. Someone receives something needed, they’re shown the love of Christ and I get to connect and learn more about my community. Part of the reason I became a REALTOR® was another means to serve my community by assisting others with investing in their future.
